Where This Comes From

I spent eight years on the board of a youth sports league, working through the operational, logistical, and governance problems that come with running a volunteer-driven youth sports organization — scheduling around fields and weather, keeping a board compliant and functional, recruiting volunteers who actually show up, and raising money without burning out the same ten families every year.

Before that, and alongside it, I spent 16 years building and operating multiple contracting businesses. That work taught me how to plan projects against hard deadlines, manage subcontractors and vendors, keep a small business compliant and solvent, and get a job finished on a budget that doesn’t move.

Level Playing Field Advising combines both: the ground-level experience of actually running a youth sports program, and the operational discipline of a business where late and disorganized isn’t an option. I work with league boards, youth sports organizations, and small nonprofits who want that same discipline applied to their programs — without having to learn it the hard way themselves.
